The Kewtech KT71 is setting the trend for future PAT testers - quick and easy to use, with a combination of automatic test sequences, simple indication of PASS/FAIL, and accurate values for record keeping. Using the rotary dial on the front panel allows the user to choose between Class 1, Class 2 or power cord (extension lead.) If the appliance is Class 1, the user can choose between the normal 20A earth bond test for 'normal' appliances such as kettles, toasters, washing machines etc, or a lower current (200mA) earth bond test which is suitable for testing IT equipment.

The Kewtech KT71 is an extremely popular PAT Testing machine, due in equal part to it's low price, professional appearance and great build quality.

Note this is a mains powered machine - it is NOT battery powered. It is, however, very quick and easy to use, and can be used one-handed. It is not quite pocket sized, but is certainly much more portable the standard PAT testers.

When testing power cords and extension leads, the KT71 will automatically carry out a Polarity Test, in compliance with the current edition of the IEE Code of Practice. The test results are shown on the digital display, although a series of LEDs on the top panel indicate red/green for Pass/Fail on Earth or Insulation.

The KT71 is designed for testing 230V appliances, and will carry out load/leakage tests if required.
