Megger PAT320 Portable Appliance Tester

A fantastic new PAT Tester from Megger, which is ideal if you need to test a large selection of appliances, including PC's, office equipment, 110V power tools and machinery. With a 110V socket and 25A earth bond test, this machine has the capability to test industrial equipment, power tools and machines, but is also at home in an office, school, nursing home or hotel.  Now it is available from Yotari at a great price!

The PAT300 series are fully featured testers with dedicated test buttons for direct access to tests. They are designed for customers who do not require the complexity of a fully configurable database of clients and results within the tester but do need a complete range of functions to allow automatic or manual testing of the widest range of electrical assets.

There are two products in the range – the PAT320 and the PAT350. The PAT350 is identical to the PAT320, with the addition of flash-test capability for use in environments such as manufacturing, production or tool-hire shops.

Simple push-button operation make the PAT300s fast and intuitive in use. All regulatory test requirements are supported, including Class I and Class II, IEC power leads, extension leads and full tests for portable RCDs. An automatic mode is available for Class I and Class II testing. In automatic mode, the tests proceed sequentially through bond, insulation and operation, indicating a pass or fail at each test. If a fail occurs, testing is stopped. When manual testing, each test is preceded by a selection screen where the test parameters are selected, such as bond test current, insulation test voltage or leakage test type. These diagnostic buttons provide direct access to any test individually, allowing single tests to be performed following repair or a suspect result.

Accessories supplied with all models include a combined earth-bond and insulation test lead, an adaptor for testing extension leads, and a carry-case with convenient product and lead storage.

The Megger PAT320 is perfect for carrying out Portable Appliance Testing in locations such as pubs, hotels, offices, nurseries, cafes, sports and leisure facilities, banks, factories, tool hire shops, workshops and cinemas.

We would recommend the PAT350 (which includes the flash test facility) for power tool specialists and repairers, or tool hire shops where a flash test is carried out prior to hire.

Dual Voltage - Megger PAT320

The Megger PAT320 can be plugged into a 110V supply if you need to use it on a construction site (where 230V mains may not be available) but you can also test 110V power tools whilst connected to a 230V supply (but in this case it will only carry out the Earth Bond and Insulation tests - not the Operation Test.)

Please note - this PAT tester will not carry out Flash Tests. The Flash test is no longer required for PAT testing, but might be needed in manufacture and repair - if you are involved in manufacturing equipment, or carrying out extensive repairs or refurbishments on equipment, you might wish to consider the or Megger PAT350 which both have the flash test facility onboard.
